EU point projects & more

EU point is located in Stuttgart, its team handles approximately two dozen applications for regional and transnational EU projects per year.

Education and qualification measures are among our regional projects which are supported by the European Social Fund objective 2. The application, execution and accounting of these ESF projects ensues with the strong co-operation between the Kolping Training Centres, the partners in the particular project, co-financing bodies and the authorities granting approval.

The success of a project proposal depends on an initial needs analysis for the region. Following the analysis, the time arrives for the winning of the support of social partners, boards and associations, for the development of project concepts, the creation of budgets and work plans and for the filling in of comprehensive forms. The regional ESF projects are implemented by the Kolping Training Centres and take their shape in education and qualification measures for youth, migrants, and those attempting re-entry into the labour market, the unemployed and workers in SME. During the implementation phase EU point is the contact partner for all possible questions that may arise and gives support in the accounting of the project.

We execute transnational projects within the framework of the EU Programmes Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig. Before the inception of a transnational project a search for partners who are willing to realise a common project idea takes place. Through the selection of complementary partners, extensive work plans whose focus is project implementation, detailed plans of evaluation and dissemination of project findings, it is possible for us to develop innovative approaches in vocational education on a European level and to put them into practice as well.

The amounts of funding for regional and transnational projects ranges from 35.000 € to 350.000 € per year.
