In the Leonardo da Vinci - Transfer of Innovation Project "Competence assessment across borders - CAAB“ we cooperated with eight partner organisations representing four European countries in order to further develop an online tool for assessment of personal and professional competences.

Role model was an online tool named "FITS“, which was developed by the Danish partner in cooperation with the LEGO company in the year 2007. In the course of the CAAB-project the FITS-tool was adjusted to the specific needs of the participating countries and tested by different target groups. The new online tool allows to identify and assess personal and professional competences and to compare the results with profiles of vocational trainings or professions. It is available in Danish, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish and could be used as a vocational orientation guide in schools, vocational colleges and training centres.

Since September 2009 the Kolping-Training Institution Wuerttemberg is using the online tool in the framework of vocational preparatory courses for youth.

The online tool is available here.

Together with 14 educational institutions representing six European countries the Kolping Training Institution developed an innovative model for intercultural training in the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci – Pilot Project
"ICT – Intercultural Training for Social Integration in Europe“.

The result of two years of European cooperation is that of a vocational training model including manual and training guidelines for specialists working in the area of social integration. Thanks to its modular construction it is highly adaptable to the user and user’s needs.

The manual and training guidelines are available here.

Intercultural training modules are an integral part of Kolping Training Institution’s training offer. For instance, intercultural competence and diversity is core subject in the vocational further education “business administrator - specialized on social system, state approved“.
